With an entry of 100, the depth of quality was evenly evident, and I had a fantastic time judging and selecting my winners with some outstanding exhibits taking the top honours. I need to stress that I was impressed by the way the show was administrated and managed by a hard-working show committee with all matters running like clockwork. Thank you to the club chairman, Mr. Mark Young, who acted as my very able Ring Steward and a special thanks to the Club Secretary, Mrs. Elaine Ball who communicated very effectively with me, from day one to the end of the weekend with all arrangements executed flawlessly. JUNIOR DOG (10) 1st Toulemont’s BULLYRUN ONE PIECE: Lovely upstanding powerful and stylish black brindle and white with super power packed head with a sweeping profile and ears on top of his head, eyes are a bit on the kind side and mouth is not 100%, lovely long neck and deep brisket with ample quality bone and dead-straight front with tight feet, solid top-line with very good overall angulation and muscling, tail set on correctly, moved true both coming towards and away with ample drive. Reserve Best Dog and Reserve Best of Breed. 2nd Moore’s TILLEAH BRILLIANT DISGUISE: Upstanding typey white dog with brindle eye patch, well made throughout with a strong head but lacking the profile and finish of the winner, good spring of rib and solid boned straight front, mouth correct, moved well in the front and a bit close in the back. 3rd Marques’ TIGER’S VISION DA QUINTA DA BULLVIT. NOVICE DOG (11) 1st Huses’ REBELSIDE I FEEL GOOD: Compact white dog with red eye patch, sports outstanding breed type, lovely all round proportions that are very attractive to the eye with well-balanced front and rear, his head is outstanding, egg-shaped and filled to the brim with lovely curve, mouth is correct, lovely expression with ears on top of his head, he is not overdone in any way and has excellent weight to body ratio, leaving him almost in a class of his own, powerful broad and straight front with ample bone and tight feet, he moved absolutely true in the front and rear and drives with purpose. He carries his tail high but this is merely a small blemish on an otherwise outstanding specimen of the breed. Presented in tip-top show condition and handled to perfection. Best Dog and Best of Breed. 2nd Bradley’s OLLIEBRAD SUPER SONIC: Eye catching brindle and white dog , lovely straight front, good fore-chest, powerful head with good width of muzzle, mouth correct, solid strong top-line, strong quarters with lovely spring of rib, could do with more bone on the leg, moved straight in the front a bit closer behind but with sufficient drive. 3rd Moore’s TILLEAH ICEMAN. POST-GRADUATE DOG (12) 1st Sineri’s SIMON GAYARD DI CASA SINERI: Very active and attractive white dog, proportionally well-constructed and balanced dog, lovely straight front, good solid top-line with short back, lovely smooth head with sweeping profile, keen eye, correct mouth, nice turn in stifle, moved very well both ways with drive and handled expertly. I would have just liked to see a little bit more of him. 2nd Dodd’s BLUEPOINT PATCHOGUE AT MIANDALE: Well-balanced white boy with coloured ear marking, lovely head with fill and curve and beautiful expression, mouth correct, good reach of neck, straight front, level top-line, strong quarters, moved well both ways with purpose. 3rd Brown’s COOLBULS KINGSTON TOWN AT KRAWEN. LIMIT DOG (13) 1st Sutcliffe’s TILLEAH JESSEE JAMES AT DOTANNEBULL: Big red and white dog with ample bone and overall substance, strong head packed with power and correct mouth, lovely straight front with quality round bone throughout and tight feet for such a substantive dog, well laid shoulders, powerful deep brisket development and wonderful spring of rib, powerful hindquarters, moved okay and handled well. 2nd Bressani’s OLIVER QENN: White dog with black ear marking, powerful, mature well balanced, lovely head with keen expression, correct mouth, deep chest development and solid top-line, he could be a tad longer in neck, strong hind-quarters , moved well both ways. 3rd Karta- Williams’s MOONFLOWER TUMEN OF KARMARA. OPEN DOG (14) 1st Popowicz’s CARANTHIR BUTEO: Mature well-proportioned black brindle and white dog with lots of quality, lovely packed head with good width and gentle profile, mouth is correct, ample bone and substance with stylish body lines, deep chest development with solid top-line, well-angulated hind quarters, moved well in the front, a little close behind. 2nd West and Jones’s UKUSA HAYABUSA AT GROUNDWORX: Lovely upstanding white dog with lots of style and flowing bodylines, long neck flowing into strong level back, lovely packed head with sufficient fill and curve, mouth correct, good ear and eye placement, nice deep chest development and sufficient spring of rib, could do with a little more bone for his size, sound movement both ways and handled very well. 3rd Szewczyk’s QUENTINHILL BIOHAZZARD. VETERAN DOG (15) 1st Pullens’s LOUKA GONE RACING: 10 ½-year old black brindle and white veteran dog, despite his age still sports a lovely packed head and a straight front, with good spring of rib and solid top-line, although his ears have gone soft, he still enjoys showing and gave his utmost to his handler, his age is evident on the move but still moves with relative ease, a compliment to his owners for keeping him in such a good nick. BITCHES PUPPY BITCH (16) 1st Kelly & Nisbet’s SERENBULL SOUL ESSENCE: 9-month old white puppy bitch with good strong head and lovely expression, ample bone and substance for such a young bitch, straight front, tight feet, nice neck flowing into solid top-line, mouth good, tail carried a bit high in excitement, moved well both ways with drive and purpose. Best Puppy in Show. 2nd Lait’s BILBOEN QUEEN OF THE NORTH: 10-month old red-smut bitch, smart showy bitch, well-filled smooth head with nice expression for a coloured, mouth is good, straight front with tight feet, good chest development, a tad long in back, strong hindquarters, moved well in the front, a little closer behind. 3rd Westwood’s BLAZINBULLYS PURE BEAUTY AT TULSADOOM. JUNIOR BITCH (17) 1st Jowers’ CLANSMANN WICKED UPRISER: Quality white bitch with coloured earmarking, eye catching with lovely smooth head, good fill and length with excellent expression, mouth is good, nice reach of neck with lovely body lines and ample substance and bone, gun-barrel straight front with tight feet, solid top-line, tail carried correctly, good bend of stifle and a free easy mover all round. Reserve Best Bitch. 2nd Pearce’s RAGNAROKIT MUST BE LOVE: strong white bitch with good quality well-filled head, straight front and deep chest development, solid top-line, could do with a longer neck and short back, nice strong hindquarters, moved with purpose. 3rd Oosten’s BIGSHOT ALWAYS ON MY MIND. NOVICE BITCH (18) 1st Huse’s REBELSIDE SILVER ROSE: Upstanding white bitch with pleasing classical body lines embodying substance but not over done in any way with balanced front and rear, on the down side she could be a tad shorter in back and has a high tail, lovely head packed and smooth with correct mouth, small dark eye and excellent expression, shapely neck leading into smooth shoulders and a solid top-line, straight front with deep chest development and lovely spring of rib, moved with good reach in front and sufficient drive from behind, expertly handled and in great condition. Best Bitch and Best Opposite Sex. 2nd Hackett’s SPARTIATE DEVILS AUDACITY: Tri-colour girl, well-constructed mature bitch with a smooth filled head with correct mouth, deep chest development, solid top-line and sufficient back angulation, moved well in front, a little close behind. 3rd Szewczyk’s GORGEOULICIOUS QUENTINHILL BUTEO. POST-GRADUATE BITCH (19) 1st Goodwin’s EXTRAVAGANZA MITHGARD: Very typey substantial white bitch, well-filled smooth head with dark eye and gentle curve, correct mouth, powerful yet feminine neck flowing into deep barrel chest, lovely straight front with ample bone, solid top-line, well-angulated and muscled hind-quarters, just a little unsure of herself giving her handler a hard time, moved well both ways with sufficient drive. 2nd Twyman’s LARONBELLE’s CRIMSON TIDE: Upstanding, well-marked red and white bitch, lovely head shape curved and filled yet feminine, correct mouth, nice length of neck and solid straight front with tight feet, a tad long in back and could do with a little more bend in stifle. Moved okay in front and a little close behind. 3rd Adey-McConnell’s BLAZINBULLYS BONNIE LASS. LIMIT BITCH (20) 1st Kurylo’s BOATENGA HOOLIGAN’S BULL: Very smart and typey white girl with lovely body lines and good proportions, lovely packed head with keen eye and good ear placement, her mouth is faulty, solid compact body throughout with lovely bone and straight front with tight feet, deep chest development, solid top-line and well-angulated and muscled hind-quarters, carries her tail high, moved well both ways with good drive and purpose. 2nd Harneck’s ETERNAL FLAME: White mature bitch with red ear marking, lovely head with good fill and turn, good front with lovely fore-chest, solid straight front and ample bone with tight feet, a little long in back, a little unsure of herself on the day and moved somewhat loose and without purpose. OPEN BITCH (21) 1st Della Rocco’s NEOPOLITAN BULL ARABELLA: A stylish white bitch with beautiful overall body construction, lovely long head with sufficient fill and power with good eye and ear placement, mouth is correct, good straight front with enough bone, feet could be tighter, deep chest development and good spring of rib, lovely arched neck flowing into solid top-line, well bent and muscled hind quarters, she struggled to settle down and kept her handler rather busy, moved with drive and purpose, but needs to slow down in order to bring her best forward. 2nd Boxmeer’s & Brouwer’s BIGSHOT MAGIC TOUCH: Red and white upstanding bitch with a smooth well-filled head and neat expression, mouth is correct, lovely outline with good neck, front and top-line, sufficient bone and overall substance, movement was a little loose. 3rd Blair’s NAPIER LABOUR OF LOVE FROM MEGAVILLE. VETERAN BITCH (22) 1st Lambert’s CALIBER SILVER PLATED: 11-year old brindle and white bitch with a cracking head piece, beautifully turned and filled with ears on top of her head, deep chest development and a straight front even at this advanced age, solid strong top-line with well-angulated and muscled hindquarters, correct horizontal tail carriage, despite her age she still moved squarely with drive and purpose. Compliments to her owners for keeping this old lass in such wonderful condition. My thanks to the Bull Terrier Club Committee for the opportunity to judge its show on October 6th, 2019. It was a great pleasure to go over such a high-quality entry. I’d like to thank my steward, Mark Young, for an excellent job. I would also like to thank Mandy Young and the kitchen magicians for going off the delectable charts to accommodate my dietary restrictions.
It was an absolute pleasure to go over so many fine exhibits, all put down in good condition and well presented. I was truly taken by the volume and quality of the entry. There were splitting hair decisions. Special hats off to the puppies and their handlers, displaying a lovely show of connection. My gratitude to all the exhibitors for participating and giving me such a special day!
Finally, I would like to express my deepest gratitude for my judge’s gift – a plate with a hand painted head-on portrait of one of my best, top winning and treasured dogs: Banbury Bedrock Bright Star Bright – YumYum. It is stunning and captures her. I shall treasure it always!

1st TILLEAH BRILLIANT DISGUISE (MRS. T MOORE )
Attractive white with brindle eye patch youngster with a very good eye. Positive length of head with good length of foreface. Good finish. Falls away a bit under the eye. Mouth two incisors on one side just off level, rest is correct. Good bone. Short backed. Moving a bit loosely, he moved most truly going away. Promising youngster with time on his side.
Junior Dog
1st JAVARKE AESIR (MR D I. IGO)
Cobby, short-backed tri color. Lovely turn to his packed up with fill head. Good ear set. Good eye placement. Mouth just off level with one tight canine. Adequate bone for size. Could wish for a bit more angle fore and aft. Moved most truly going away, toed in coming.
2nd TAWNBARR BATTLESTAR (MR F DYSON & MR E & MRS J DYSON)
White boy with brindle eye patch possessing good bone. Excellent eye and correct mouth. Positive length to his head with a smooth profile. Could wish for more fill. Moved loosely going away, more truly coming. Not feeling his most comfortable today.
Novice Dog
1st YOSHI KAWAII (MISS E J MEDLAM)
Upstanding, smooth headed dog with no exaggerations. Bit of a break below the brow. Has some finish. Moderate eye. Correct mouth. Nice reach to his neck. Adequate bone. A bit long cast. Moved most truly coming, fluidly to the side, closely going away. Could benefit from a little more angle to his hindquarters.

Nicely balanced red and white in gleaming condition. Strong headpiece with good length, fill and finish. Good expression. Correct mouth. Nice reach to his neck flows into a straight front with good bone extending through the pasterns, fore and aft. Good depth of chest and spring of rib. Hind leg well set on. Moved truly all ways.
2nd BULLYON ABOVE MEASURE (MR I BROTHERTON & MISS S SWAN)
All white who stands up and presents himself. Lovely reach to his neck. His head is smooth with a well-placed eye and correct mouth. Adequate bone. Has good power through the body with positive depth of chest and spring to the rib. Could be tighter in the pasterns and feet in front. Moved fluidly all ways. An honest fellow.

Beautifully marked upstanding red and white. A balanced picture. Head has a very good turn with strong finish. Good length. Good fill. Well placed eye with good expression. Incorrect mouth. Lovely reach to his muscular neck flowing into positive forehand construction. Good bone down to the ground, fore and aft. His body lines are smooth with good angles, front and rear. Hocks well let down. Moves truly all ways.
2ND VETSBULLIES KEEP A KNOCKIN’ INTO MEGAVILLE (MR & MRS P BLAIR)
Super balanced brindle boy. He exudes masculinity and power throughout his body. His head is smooth with correct mouth and a very good eye. He gives way under the eye. Good length to his strong, muscular neck. Very good round bone down to the ground which supports a straight front and a well set on rear. He flows from his neck into his solid topline with good depth to his chest and spring of rib. His hocks are well let down. Moved truly. One to watch as he continues to mature!

Stylish, typey, balanced, well-marked brindle and white, masculine youngster. He caught me on entry. He lands four square every time. His head has length and his profile is smooth ending with good finish. His head needed to be handled to fully appreciate the amount of fill. Good ear set. Eye placement is good. Expression could be keener. Correct mouth. Lovely reach to his masculine, arched neck. Front sits correctly under him. His bone is good and through the pasterns, ending in tidy feet. Positive depth of chest. He is young and still needs to pop into his shapely, athletic frame. Hind quarters are well set on. His jaunty movement was true all ways. His plethora of virtues drove him to the top today in strong competition.
2ND BILBOEN GREAT DRAGONS SPY (MISS S FOSTER & MR M BICKER) RBD
Brindle and white who also brings balance and type. Strong profile with lovely length of foreface and good finish. Could benefit from a bit more fill through the muzzle. Very good eye with keen expression. Correct mouth. Adequate bone. Shorter neck into a short-coupled body with depth and good rib spring. His front sits well under him and his hindquarters are well set on with hocks well let down. Solid across the topline. Moved well.

A pleasure to see this red and white fellow. In lovely condition, he moved with a spring in his jaunty, fluid step. Clearly enjoying his day.

Very pretty, balanced white puppy with two brindle ears. Clean head with smoothly turned profile. Good length of foreface. Well set triangular eyes lending good expression. Correct mouth. Shapely and balanced through the body. Tidy front sits correctly under her. Hind leg well set on. Moved a bit closely going, truly coming. Pretty package!

Feminine tri color with lovely and smooth clean lines from stem to stern. Long, clean head has a smooth, gently turned profile. Good length of foreface. Good eye placement and expression. Well set on front assembly sits well under her and moved accordingly. Solid across her topline, finishing with a good tail set. Moved a tad closely going away.

Striking, feminine white youngster with double tri eye patches. She is classical with a lovely headpiece – positive length and turn with good fill. Ears bang on top of her head. Good eye. Correct mouth. Her essence exudes type and balance. Dead straight front ending in tight feet and is correctly set under her. Lovely fore chest with good spring to her rib. She is short coupled and shapely. Hind leg is well set on. She comports herself as she is made – truly. I was very taken with her – she is one to watch!

Red and white with virtuous head power and bone. Good eye. Good turn and fill. Powerful girl with a classical headpiece. Good length of neck. Her front is not her fortune. A bit soft behind her withers. Carried herself well. Plenty of virtues to offer her offspring.

White girl with double brindle ears. Her head is gently turned with a smooth profile. Good fill. Good eye placement. Correct mouth. Tidy front with good depth to her chest. Good spring to the rib. Appropriately angled behind. She moved smoothly all ways.

1st TEIRWGWYN VOODOO DOLL (MR M & MRS A DODD) BB BIS
This white bitch has a lovely silhouette. She has scope, balance and harmony throughout. Her lines are classical. Clean head with a smooth profile. Her eye is well placed, giving good expression. Enough fill. Her mouth has correct canines with just a couple incisors a tic off on the off side. Her reachy neck flows into a good forehand. Dead straight front. Positive forechest. Shapely and deep with substance through the body. To be critical, she is a tad soft mid back and a bit long in the loin but this does not detract from her overwhelming virtues. She moved truly all ways. At one with her handler, she was beautifully presented and put down in super condition. The strength and depth of the entry in bitches was most impressive. She asked for the big win and was not to be denied. When she came up against the dog, her maturity carried her today.

Brisket drops well below the elbow and her ribs are well sprung. Made to produce.

I want to thank the committee for inviting me to judge the open show on this prestigious bull terrier weekend. I feel very honored and privileged to be invited. I also want to thank Adele and Mark, the stewards on the day. With the experience they have the show went smoothly. A big thank you for all the exhibitors who entered their dogs and gave me the opportunity to go over them. I think it was a huge entry. The overall quality was very high. My winners must be able to compete on championship level. I was very pleased to see high quality in the young dogs. I hope the owners will continue showing their dogs. It would be very interesting to see how they mature. Sometimes the difference between dogs was very close and my decision were made on very small margins. I also want to mention that I was very pleased to see so many quality brindles. For years I saw the amount of (quality) brindles going down but this year I was glad to see a good number of excellent brindles.

Good mouth. Powerful good arched neck into well placed shoulders. Straight front and enough bone for his size. Deep brisket and good spring of rib. Short body and excellent topline. Good tail set and carriage. Excellent rear angulation. Moves like a clock. Excellent handled and presented. Didn’t put a foot wrong. Best dog, Best of Breed and Best Coloured.

I realise there has been comments regarding the numbers present but I feel this is a reflection of the current trends everywhere. However I had a lovely day and was made to feel both comfortable and supported. a lovely lunch was provided by resident chef Jane Peakin (Byzantine) and at the end of the day I left feeling rested and at peace with my decisions

For me an eye catching substantial dog with good make and shape. Adequate profile and width. Cyril was presented in beautiful condition and well handled making him a pleasure to watch. Moves a little close behind but barely out of puppy. I feel this may improve with time and exercise.

Another strong white dog with head markings. George has a lot going for him, with a good head. Would have liked tighter pasterns and less rear angulation but these can be remedied by presentation as underneath are the bones of a very nice dog.

At 8 years old Mr McPhangus a tricolour looked good for his age. Good head with a tight canine but this is offset by his make and shape moved well both ways if a little stiff in stifles which is more acceptable for his age. Overall a very nicely made dog in sparkling condition and presentation. More than happy to award Angus RBD.

Lovely brindle and white. Good head, mouth fault that is more than compensated for by her virtues. Bosie obviously enjoys her food and a few pounds less would show off her lovely make and shape.
2nd BLAZINBULLYS BONNIE LASS (MS & MR M & T ADEY-MCCONNELL & MCCONNELL)
Bonnie is sister to Rosie and on another day under different circumstances could have swapped placings. A lovely well made bitch with a perfect mouth. White with a red eye patch she is kept in mint conditionwithout a hair out of place. Bonnie moved up and down as if an old pro being in tune with her handler.

A lovely coloured bitch. Bowe is hard to fault on examination. Good rear angulation. Her markings and stance fool you into thinking she is upright in shoulder, but her jaunty movement and gate soon correct this impression. A nicely balanced package who moves well and is well handled and presented in tip top condition.

Substantial eye catching white bitch. Beautifully packaged and in lovely condition. Her mouth fault easily outweighed by her obvious virtues. Found it hard to fault this girl.
2nd SPARTIATE DEVILS VISION (MR & MRS D A & S M HACKETT)
Although fond of her own voice this girl was well handled and at no point did I find her offensive. Lovely head with a good mouth. Well balanced with nice movement. Again presented in gleaming condition. A pleasure to watch. I regret not asking her name!
3rd ROMAGNA RUMOUR HAS IT (MR & MRS M & Y MORGANS)
Poppy was a white trooper taking her handler our for the first time. Her handler took her cue from Poppy and all went well. Would have preferred her shorter cast but she moved well and strutted up the mat showing herself off like a young girl again. Her mother and I watched enviously. Her handler did a very nice job and learnt from Poppy.

Class 13, SPECIAL AWARD JUNIOR DOG OR BITCH. 1 (0)
1stMiss E. Pullen, Blazinbully’s Sweet Surprise
Cobby brindle and white bitch. Well marked with good bone and substance. She has a good head with gentle curving profile, width, depth and fill. Her ears are on top, eye a little bold. Mouth fault. She has a good front and tidy feet, as well as depth and spring of rib. Decent shoulders, although a little more length in upper arm would be preferred. Moved well both ways at a slower pace, rolling a tad when moving faster. Presented well and showed excellently for her handler.

Elegant tricolour bitch with great virtue. She has a super head, full right up with downface, width and finish. Ears set a little wide apart. Slight mouth fault. Good front and feet and decent forequarter angulation. Level topline and adequately turned hindquarters. Moved better coming than going, a tad close behind. Never stopped showing and presented in beautiful condition, a credit to her handler.
Class 15, SPECIAL AWARD OPEN DOG OR BITCH. 7 (3)

Compact tricolour bitch with great bone and substance. Her head is gentle in profile with good length, depth and finish. Correct Mouth. Decent shoulders, although to be picky would prefer more lay back. Straight front and tidy feet. Good spring of rib and depth of brisket. Short back, tail set a little high. She has enough turn of stifle and moved with drive, although a little close behind. Presented in great condition and handled well.
2ndMr M Dodd & Miss A Rowlands, Teirwgwyn Voodoo Doll
Upstanding white bitch with red ear marking. Good head with downface, finish and fill to balance. Good front and tidy feet. Decent shoulders and level topline. Tail set a little high. Adequate turn of stifle, above average mover in both directions and held her topline on the move. Presented in beautiful condition and handled well. In my opinion the nature of her mouth fault cost her higher honours.
3rdMrs & Mrs M. Morgans, Romagna Rumour Has It
Well balanced white bitch, the eldest in her class and still retaining her mojo. Nice head with downface, width and fill. Mouth fault. Straight front, feet could be tidier. Good shoulders and level topline. Sound hindquarters. Co-operated well with her inexperienced handler who I hope will continue to show in future.

Thank you to the Committee for placing their confidence in me to judge this extremely important and high profile show. This is a superbly run event and just seems to get better year upon year. My congratulations to the whole committee for making it such a success. I would particularly like to thank my stewards Steve and Adele, and the exhibitors for such a great entry. The description “Open Show” hardly does it justice; the quality of dogs on display is simply outstanding and certainly the best at any “open show” that I have ever had the pleasure to judge.
It is often said that judging good animals is easier than judging mediocre ones and whilst that may be true, it does make for some hair splitting decisions. This inevitably means that some extremely worthy dogs remained out of the top placements which will be disappointing for the exhibitors. I hope they realise the narrow margins that exist mean that some placings may be reversed on another day, they really were that close, and I thank all competitors for accepting the results with good grace.
I have been saying for a few years that we in the UK need to look to our laurels, and this show is proof that we do; the overseas dogs dominated the top placings and many exhibits would not be out of place in our trophies, where the very best compete. Some of my line-ups were truly stunning.

Impressive tall red dog with lots of quality. Excellent filled head with well-placed eye and ears. Misplaced canine. Straight front and tucked n elbows but turns his feet out slightly. Good length of neck, a shade long in body but likely to shorten up with maturity. Shapely bodylines and extremely sound; excellent make and shape. Very good bone, Moved freely both ways. Just needs maturity
2 Westwood’s Tulsadoom Scrooblus Pip
Typy white dog with a very good head, filled and turned over. Very Good expression. Short cobby body with excellent spring of rib. Good strong bone. Short back, moved with drive but a little close behind. Gave his handler a challenge and needs to gain more confidence.
3 Dodd and Rowland’s Bluepoint Patchogue
Compact dog with an excellent head and expression. Would like a little more bone for his size. Plenty of quality but needs to mature in body. Well balanced and needs to tighten in front. Moved with drive but a little close behind

1 Sineri’s Julien Di Casa Sineri
Impressive terrier type young dog, of great quality and with phenomenal ring presence. Well shaped head with a piercing eye and ears right on top. Bang on straight front with good bone and feet. Beautiful long neck and well laid shoulder, leading into a firm short topline. Extremely well made and in outstanding condition. He moved as one would expect such a well-made dog to move; parallel and with great drive, but I would like to see him given his head a bit and really stride out. To be picky he could use a bit more width to his muzzle but a stunning young dog who will only improve with maturity. A real showman who could not be denied his top placement. Best Dog BOS and RBIS

Very smart and well balanced shapely red dog with excellent bodylines, A little loose in front but with good round bone and tidy feet. Well-shaped head of good length. Slight mouth fault. Very good expression. Moved freely but a little wide in front. A quality dog but just a little out of his depth on the day
3 Slesarovci and Robert’s Templar Rasels Bull
Statuesque heavyweight tricolor. Excellent profile turned right over. Mouth undershot, very good bone compact square body with a firm topline and short back.

1 Huse’s Rebelside I’m The Superman
Really impressive and powerful pale red smut dog. Beautiful head completely packed up and smooth, with a strong deep muzzle. Plenty of bone for his size, he has a good neck with excellent well laid shoulder and great depth of fore-chest. Short cobby body with a barrel ribcage. Plenty of substance and extremely well made. Firm topline and short back. He moved well in front but his hind movement left something to be desired. Nevertheless a dog full of virtues who can trouble the very best.
2 Calisto’s Ever Lordbull Jack
Powerful white dog, beautiful head, amongst the best here, completely packed up with a wide muzzle. Excellent bone but a little loose in front. Good neck and well laid shoulder. Very masculine but a touch short on leg making him rather unbalanced. Very strong wide hindquarters.
3 Huse’s Rebelside Chili Gormoi
Tall white and upstanding dog. Very handsome with lots of quality but not the type and substance of this placed above him. Moved exceptionally well, strode out and was parallel both ways.

1 Newman’s Pinebull at First Light
Very impressive quality white dog. Lovely smooth well arced head. Tiny eye and well placed ears giving him the correct expression. Misplaced canine. A little long in body, but with elegant bodylines and is very sound with virtue in abundance. His handler struggled to move him at the right pace but when he gets him going he actually moves very well. A promising dog that needs patience.
2 Scott and Sutcliffe’s Tilleah Jesse James
Tall red dog. Perfect mouth, excellent straight front and adequate bone. Not quite enough type or head for me but a very sound and well-made dog, with a nice calm temperament who was shown and moved to perfection
3 Fitzherbert Stewart and Goodwin’s Locoville Serge Blanco. Decent head, a little narrow in muzzle. Perfect mouth Good straight front with elbows tucked in. A little light in bone, but well angulated both front and rear with an excellent neck and shoulder and exceptional hind quarters. Very good mover

Typy white heavyweight dog with a strong head, lacking a little in muzzle power. Good expression. Beautiful long neck. Decently made throughout with good firm topline. Good width to chest and ribcage. Short compact body, Moved feely but a little close behind.
2 Sebastien and Phillipe’s Bilboen Go Freddie Tane Well-made brindle dog, attractive head and showed quite well. A little immature at present and unfortunately favouring a hind leg when on the move

Super class of masculine and substantial Bull Terrier males
1 Agosta’s Ita Ch Bullistorgame Jerome Le Banner
Powerful and heavyweight black brindle. Very typy. Glorious head which has to be felt to be appreciated, wide and strong with a really strong muzzle, deep underjaw and with a correct mouth to top it off. He has colossal bone but is a little loose in front. Deep brisket with good fore chest. He has a really short back and a big barrel chest, the epitome of “maximum substance”. His quarters are wide and muscular and he really drove well when on the move. Seriously considered for best dog but whilst of completely different type I just preferred the extreme quality and showmanship of my eventual winner. Reserve Best Dog
.2 Slesarovci and Robert’s World Ch Teirwgwyn White Chaos. Substantial and masculine white dog of medium size who really made his presence felt by telling everyone loudly how handsome he was. Well-shaped head with excellent fill, width and smooth profile. Incorrect bite. Excellent expression. His quarters have just the right amount of angulation and are well muscled and powerful. A top quality and impressive dog.
3 Johnson’s Port Ch Javarke River Pirate. Compact brindle and white who caught my eye when he entered the ring. Very sound and typy with a good well filled head. Good straight front with tucked in elbows and nice feet, well balanced and moved accordingly. Just not quite the overall substance and power of the 2 placed above him but I venture to suggest he has a bright future ahead.
Veteran dog or Bitch (6, 2)
1 Szewczyk’s Carramba Quentinhill
White bitch of immense quality. Beautifully filled head of good length, a little long in back but with good bodylines despite her undercarriage, which I feel is forgivable in a bitch of this age
2 Robert’s Teirwgwyn Billy Boy Well-made and masculine Tricolor dog. Very good head, packed up and well filled. Well-made throughout. Plenty of bone and substance and in excellent condition. An eye-catching dog with lots of quality.
3 O’Connell’s Elvroc Who Dares Wins at Koellen. Quality black/ brindle bitch with a sweeping profile. Outstanding gun barrel front, with nice tight feet. Very good shapely bodylines. An eye-catching bitch with lots of quality, but is a little narrow throughout and simply unlucky to meet animals of the quality above.

1 Westwood’s Tulsadoom Ninki Nanki White bitch with eye patch. Beautiful head, cranked right over with an excellent expression. Slight mouth fault. Nicely made throughout with a lovely neck and good strong bodylines. Good straight front with tight, cat like feet. Very well shaped hind quarters. A very promising youngster of great quality, just needs to tighten throughout and looks set to go places. Moved freely and with drive. Best Puppy.

Compact red and white bitch. Pretty and feminine and of excellent quality. Very good head, with a good finish. Correct bite. Good neck and firm topline she has really excellent and well angulated hindquarters extremely well made throughout. Needs to tighten up and mature.
- Roughton’s La Perla Warbonnet
Strong and muscular bitch in a compact package. Strong head just lacking a little fill below the eye. Extremely good heavy bone. Another with good muscular hindquarters; strode out well but moved a little wide in front.
.Junior Bitch (9, 3)
1 Konings and Berez’s Kingsfarms Royal Design. Stunning quality bitch who caught my eye as soon as she entered the ring. Beautiful lines with a lovely long neck flowing into a well laid shoulder and a firm topline. Completely filled up egg shaped head. Well placed and well-shaped eye giving her the classic expression. Good straight front. She moves completely in one piece, moving freely and with drive. A quite breathtaking bitch of the highest merit who was in outstanding condition and was handled and put down to perfection. Still just a baby she can only get better. Best Bitch and Best in Show.
2 West and Jones’s Irazistabull Staring Back. Very feminine and typy white bitch with a very pretty elegant head. Good front with adequate bone. A little upright in shoulder but otherwise very well made throughout. Moved with drive and very freely. Would benefit from some serious ring training.
3 Saldova’s Quadrilla Daidalos Nicely made brindle bitch who is very showy. Well shaped head with good fill and a perfect mouth. A shade long in back. Moved well and very well presented.
Yearling Bitch (5, 1)
1 Foster and Bicker’s Bilboen Harlee Quinn. A quite beautiful elegant terrier type bitch of the highest merit. Gloriously feminine head, filled up and egg shaped, with an unbroken arc. Stunning expression and a perfect mouth. Lovely flowing bodylines. Extremely well made throughout, with a beautiful neck, a well laid shoulder and strong well angulated hindquarters. A little more bone would complete the picture. Drove well and moved in one piece but was a touch close behind. A little light in loin she just needs maturity; mark my words her day will come.
2 Chaube’s Unfailing My Gangsta Rock Star
Very typy and compact tri bitch. Stunning head, completely packed up and turned over. Slightly round in eye. Shortest of backs. Moved fairly parallel but did not really stride out.
3 Saldova’s Quadrilla Daidalos

1 Taccone’s Bullistorgame Cindy. Stunning heavyweight white bitch right out of the top drawer. The perfect balance of power and quality. Power packed and filled head yet still extremely feminine, Lovely strong round bone, deep forechest and great spring of rib. Really short back. Moved soundly and parallel. She is so full of type, she won this class and I expected her to take best bitch but in the final challenge I could not ignore the slightly more feminine and flowing lines of the winner. There was little to split these two and it was literally just a whisker that separated them. Nevertheless a phenomenal bitch that I would fully expect to become the mother of many champions. Reserve Best Bitch.
2 Jower’s Clansman Wicked Dreamgirl
Typy, square and feminine white bitch. Plenty of substance and type. Strong head with good fill and turned right over. Well placed eye. Good firm topline. Moved freely and with drive.

Dark brindle and white bitch. Tremendous head, packed up and turned over. Very good straight front with tight feet. A little light in bone. Very good expression with a tiny well placed eye. Tends to show stretched out at the rear, but her quarters are actually quite well angulated.
2 Filarowicz’s Quentinhil Devilicious White bitch with red ears. Substantial and typy, with a strong head and a good deep muzzle. Mouth incorrect. Compact square body. Short back with very good quarters. High tail set. Moved well. Disqualified by Kennel Club
2 Karta and Williams’s Kamara’s Criminal Intent. Tall and rangy white bitch with black ears. Elegant head, lacking a little in power. Very good front with excellent round bone. Well handled and presented in a calm and proficient manner. Moved parallel.

Top quality class, little separating the top five.
1 Aranda-Parazuelo’s Trick or Treat My Highland Lassie O Tremendous heavyweight and typy tri bitch. Very strong packed up head with a good deep muzzle. Correct bite. Lovely straight front with nice round bone and good tight feet, which she unfortunately turns out a little. Strong neck and a well-placed shoulder, short back and a firm topline. Moved and showed well.
- Kwieciak’s Pol Ch New Future Baradiel Typy red and white bitch. Lovely profile to head, filled right up and turned over. Very compact body with short back and firm topline. A little straight in stifle nevertheless she moved parallel and drove well.
- Diaz Garrido’s Donatella De La Gran Estiripe Another typy bitch. White. Very strong head with a well-placed eye really well laid shoulder but dips behind the collar. Very showy and handled well.

Firstly I would like to thank the committee of the Bull Terrier Club for inviting me to judge I was truly Honoured.
I would like to thank the exhibitors for bringing their dogs under me. I was pleased to find that most of the animal’s mouths were correct.

2 year old white dog, with a lovely filled head and tiny ears, nice reach of neck and tidy feet, is a tad long in back, movement was ok and was in lovely condition

6 month old solid red. Wicked eyes and smallest of ears with a beautiful head with power and profile.
Good reach of neck, lovely tucked elbows and super bone. Is a little bum high on the move but is still very much a baby

11 Month old silver brindle, large heavyweight boy with a good head and tiny eyes, good bone and nice feet, lovely deep forechest and a good spring of rib, good movement

12 month old well marked Brindle and white, very typey with a super filled head and a beautiful profile with wicked expression, ears bang on top, Lovely neck with good shoulder placement and super tucked elbows, shortest of backs and good rear angulation, movement was good both ways. 21 month old well marked Red and white, good filled head with good expression, Good shoulders and short backed, tidy feet, good bone moved well holding his topline. His cleans lines won him the class and res best dog. RBD

2 year old red and white, nicely filled head, short back and in super fit condition, lovely rear movement with lots of power and drive but did drop his topline on the move.

11 and half year old white bitch. What a super bitch in fabulous condition with a lovely head and beautiful profile, has amazing teeth which are gleaming white like a young dogs, lovely reach of neck and short back, lovely movement, a real credit to her owner/breeder
2nd Morgan’s Marshelsea Trouble Coming at Romagna
8 year old white dog, in super condition, nice head with wicked eye, short back and good muscle, good movement, really enjoyed his day

13 month old White bitch and her name says it all, what a goddess she is, very strong head with power and excellent profile, tiny eyes and well placed ears, lovely reach of neck into good shoulders, lovely front and good strong rear, stole the show with her movement which was absolutely parallel, best mover of the day. 2nd Youngs Beebeemi High Claudia
12 month old white bitch another stunning girl, with really powerful head and punishing expression, short back and good bone, lovely movement pushed the winner hard. Enjoyed her day making her experienced handler work hard for her place. RBB RBIS

12 month old white who is litter sister to 1, another large bitch with exaggerated profile would prefer more power and fill, wicked expression and tiny eyes, she is a tad long in back and looses her topline on the move, in good condition and shows herself really well, well handled

- Foster & Bicker’s Bilboen Great Dragons Spy. Super brindle & white terrier type puppy dog. Lovely filled and turned head with good mouth & great expression. Lovely reach of neck. Excellent construction and cat feet. Balanced throughout. Moved true & covered the ground. Super condition and made the most of himself. Look forward to seeing him fully mature.
- Hall’s Family Song’s Xmen Cwmdulais. Larger more powerful very masculine white puppy dog. Super head with excellent turn and strength, wicked eye. Good mouth. Straight front with lots of bone. Not as compact as 1 and didn’t make the most of himself but a lot to like about this virtuous pup
- William’s Shwntarw Pay As You Earn.

- Karta-Williams & Williams’ Karmara’s Criminal Damage. Upstanding white dog, Good head without exaggeration and wicked eye. Mouth OK. Lovely reach of neck. Really well made throughout. Lovely front and feet. Balanced & good hind angulation. Moved parallel and covered the ground. Super showman. Still not fully mature.
- Goodwin & Fitzherbert- Stewart’s Locoville Serge Blaco. Cobby powerful white masculine dog. Super power packed head with wicked expression. Mouth good. Stands a bit wide in front. Prefer neater feet. Lovely turn of stifle. Moved fairly parallel and covered the ground.
- Redmond’s Warhorse Lord Flash Heart
Class 3: Bull Terrier Yearling Dog (5 entries)
- Jowers’ Clansmann Centurian Player. Eyecatching shapely quality white dog with a snow white jacket. Lovely filled & turned head with wicked expression. Mouth OK. Excellent reach of neck. Really well made & balanced throughout with cat feet. Super mover, drove from behind and powered down the mat. A real showman presented in immaculate condition and made the most of himself in the challenge. Best Dog
- Foster & Bicker’s Bilboen Final Conflict. Bigger quality brindle & white dog. Sweeping profile with power, wicked expression & good mouth. Pasterns need to tighten but elbows tucked in with neat feet. Good reach of neck with well laid shoulder. Moved better coming, closer behind. Super coat condition. Doesn’t make the most of himself but his handler worked hard to get the best out of him in the challenge. Reserve Best Dog
- Fitzherbert-Stewart’s Surprise Arrival @ Locoville.
Class 4: Bull Terrier Post Graduate (10 entries,3 absent)
Very difficult class with lots of faults and virtues .
- Langillier’s Untitled Insane In The Brain. Compact typy white dog. Super sweeping head with wicked expression and lovely earset. Lovely straight front with good reach of neck. Moved ok and covered the ground. Carrying too much weight which spoilt his shape and made him appear unbalanced.
- Sonsona & Castro’s Multi J Ch Bullmartina Invictus At Mas De Rufa. Bigger more powerful red & white dog. Lovely head, filled & turned with nice earset & wicked eye. Mouth just off. Well angulated quarters. Untidy feet & prefer elbows more tucked in. Moved fairly parallel but pulled his handler and moved too fast so not easy to assess. More compact than 3.
- Ruddock & Castrey’s Ukusa Zaikai
Class 5: Bull Terrier Limit Dog (4 entries)
- Agosta’s Bullistoregame Jerome Le Banner. Big masculine substantial black brindle & white dog with lots of bone. Lovely filled & turned head, superb wicked eye, good earset and expression. Good mouth. Lovely reach of neck with well laid shoulder. Pasterns could be tighter and feet untidy. Lovely well angulated quarters. Moved Ok and covered the ground
- Domenico’s Russell Di Casa Sineri. Nicely turned head with strength & wicked eye. Good mouth. Good bone & substance. Good reach of neck. Preferred shoulder lay of 1. Feet could be tidier. Compact body with good turn of stifle. Moved really well behind with great drive.

Class 6: Bull Terrier Open Dog (8 entries,1 absent)
- Chaube’s Teirwgwyn Latest Flame. Big white masculine powerhouse dog. Lovely head with super fill and turn and wicked expression. Mouth good. Lovely feet, straight front with tight pasterns. Really well made throughout for such a substantial dog. Moved parallel and covered the ground. Lazy showman and could make a lot more of himself. Really liked this dog but in the dog challenge he showed even less than in this class and his experienced handler surprisingly to me didn’t seem to want to even try to motivate him.
- Sineri’s White Kamikaze. Typy, showy masculine white dog. Good head turned and filled with finish. Wicked expression and good mouth. Lovely reach of neck and well laid shoulder with good hind angulation. Shapely body with good bone & substance. Prefer tighter pasterns and elbows. Feet could be tidier. Good mover, moved with drive and fairly parallel. Handler really gets the best out of this dog.
- Karta-Williams & Williams’ Briden Fun Loving Criminal At Karmara.
Class 7: Bull Terrier Veteran Dog or Bitch (5 entries, 2 absent)
- Catilina’s Ice’s Satin Diesire Of Quentinhill. Typy, cobby & compact white bitch. 8 years old. Lovely turned & filled head. Wicked expression & mouth ok. Good reach of neck and nicely angulated quarters. Underline matronly as one would expect from a bitch who has been performing in the whelping box. Super mover, really powered down the mat parallel and covering the ground. Showed on a sixpence. Best Veteran
- Lambert’s Caliber Silver Playted. 8 year old super headed brindle & white bitch. Superb turned & filled head. A couple of teeth missing and an instanding canine. Straight front with neat feet and lovely reach of neck. Neater underline than 1. Moved better in front than behind. Super coat & body condition, wouldn’t know she was 8 years old.
- Bachmann Aramis Vom Teltschikturm. 9 and a half year old brindle & white male. Not the head or type of the 2 younger bitches but good mouth and excellent teeth condition for age. Straight front with neat feet & lovely turn of stifle. Moved well and covered the ground. Super show boy.

- Chaube’s Unfailing Le Petite Prince. Almost solid black brindle & white mini dog. Typy and really good for size. Super sweeping powerpacked head with wicked expression & good mouth. Shorter cast than 2 but can tend to stand a bit roachy. Prefer better lay of shoulder and elbows more tucked in. Good turn of stifle. Choppy on the move and toed in in front. Reserve Best Miniature Bull Terrier Dog
- Lambert & Peacher’s Lafenice Tamino of Caliber. Cobby brindle & white mini dog. Lovely powerpacked head with super earset and good mouth. Not the expression of 1. Good reach of neck. Prefer better lay of shoulder. Straight front with good angulation. Topline could be better. Excellent bone & substance for size. Similar in movement to 1. Super show boy.
Class 11: Miniature Bull Terrier Open Dog (3 entries)
- Fletcher’s Ch. Int. Canabull North Wind. Lovely balanced compact white mini dog. Super turned and filled head with neat well placed ears, well shaped eye & good mouth. Straight front with neat feet and decent lay of shoulder. Good reach of neck & lovely hind angulation. Shapely throughout. Moved better behind than in front. Super showman in immaculate condition. A bull terrier in miniature. Best Dog & Best of Breed Miniature Bull Terrier.
- Lambert’s Grandopera Didier Drogba of Caliber. Typy brindle & white mini dog. Excellent filled & turned head. Mouth undershot. Lovely reach of neck, straight front with neat feet. Prefer more power in his quarters although his angulation is fairly good. Close decision between 2 & 3. Just preferred type & size of 2 . Choppy on the move with an exaggerated front gait. Another super showman.
- Brailsford’s Badlesmere Beau Regarde
Class 12: Miniature Bull Terrier Puppy Bitch (2 entries)
- Catilina’s Black Witch At Dofro Od Rudes Wiedzma. 9 months pretty tri coloured mini puppy bitch. Really balanced lovely for size mini girl. Beautifully miniaturised. Lovely turned & filled head with good expression and good mouth. Lovely reach of neck, decent lay of shoulder with excellent turn of stifle. Good topline. Moved fairly parallel. Needs to tighten in pastern and mature in body. Super showgirl. Best Miniature Bull Terrier Puppy, Best Bitch & Reserve Best of Breed.
- Harrison’s Jenkir Kallisto. Very smart, cobby 6 month old black brindle & white bitch. Good head, filled & turned. Uses her ears well. Mouth ok. Needs to tighten in front. Prefer topline of 1. Good reach of neck and nice hind angulation. Good bone for size. Moved better behind.
Class 13: Miniature Bull Terrier Yearling Bitch (4 entries, 2 absent)
- Peakin’s Byzantine Blanche. Bigger for size upstanding showy white bitch. Super filled head with excellent profile and wicked expression, one instanding canine. Straight front with lovely reach of neck & neat feet. Good hind angulation. Typy and balanced throughout. Moved better in front than behind but covered the ground.
- Chaube’s Unfailing La Petite Cherie. Smaller more cobby bitch. Powerful turned head with good ears and eyes. Mouth undershot. Straight front. Short back & good turn of stifle. Prefer her to carry more weight. Moved really quite well, parallel and covered the ground. Not as typy or feminine as 1.
Class 14: Miniature Bull Terrier Post Graduate Bitch (3 entries,1 absent)
- Young’s Bullrichs Junebug At Bullyview. Typy feminine black brindle & white mini bitch. Super head, turned and filled with good mouth & wicked expression. A bit loose in pastern. Decent lay of shoulder and good hind angulation. Good for size, with good bone and substance. Love her mini type. Super show girl. Covered the ground on the move. Reserve Miniature Bull Terrier Bitch
- Webb’s Winters Delight Jeanie In A Bottle. Really well made compact good for size tri colour mini girl. Good head, turned with fill, mouth just off level. Prefer smaller eye. Super front and cat feet, good reach of neck and lovely hind angulation. Lacks the type of 1 and needs to carry a few more pounds to give her more shape. Covered the ground on the move.
Class 15: Miniature Bull Terrier Open Bitch (3 entries,2 absent)
- Newberry’s Ukusa Maleficent. Very showy bigger black brindle & white mini bitch. Super filled head with good turn, prefer keener eye. Good mouth. Straight front with decent shoulder lay , feet could be more compact. Lovely reach of neck and excellent turn of stifle. Maybe too much power & bone for her size which seems to make her a bit unbalanced. Best mini mover of the day, moved parallel and drove from behind. Super show girl. Close decision between her and the Reserve Best Bitch but in the end preferred the overall mini type of Bullrichs Junebug .
Class 16: Bull Terrier Puppy Bitch (17 entries, 2 absent)
What a class of puppy bitches, with a number of really good ones having to be left out of the placings. Really paints a rosy picture for the breed’s future.
- Smalley’s Briden Diamond. Beautiful white puppy bitch with classical bodylines. Super head , well filled and turned with wicked expression and good mouth. Super straight front with tucked in elbows & neat feet. Lovely reach of neck with excellent turn of stifle. Shapely & balanced throughout, with snow white jacket. Moved well in front, closer behind. Long class and she started to tire towards the end but stood out in an outstanding class. On maturity should be hard to beat.
- Taylor’s Bilboen Gersemi. Super typy white puppy bitch. Lovely head filled and turned with wicked expression and good mouth. Really well made & shapely. Lovely reach of neck, straight front with shapely forechest and well angulated quarters. Tended to pace on the move but handler managed to get her to settle finally and she moved fairly parallel, covering the ground.

- Mc Cann’s Heavenwhite Light Fly Weight At Diton. Beautiful shapely white bitch. Lovely head filled with good profile and neat ears. Straight front with neat feet. Lovely turn of stifle. Moved fairly parallel and covered the ground. Turned out to perfection with snow white jacket and handler really gets her to make the most of herself.
- Diaz & Suarez’s Donatella De La Grande Estirpe. Much more powerful, substantial typy bitch. Superb power packed head with sweeping profile & wicked eye. Mouth incorrect. Straight front with lots of bone and lovely turn of stifle. Really compact & shapely in body. A really virtuous bitch with lots of type.

- Szewczyk & Filarowicz’s Quentenhill Devilicious. Super white show girl. Lovely head filled & turned with wicked eye & good mouth. Straight front with neat feet & shapely forechest. Lovely reach of neck & excellent hind angulation. Holds tail a bit high and prefer a bit more leg. Moved quite well, parallel and covered the ground.
- Taylor’s Ragnarok Vinter. Very typy brindle & white bitch. Superb head, filled with sweeping profile and wicked expression. Good mouth. Straight front with neat feet and lovely reach of neck. Prefer more hind angulation and shorter cast. Not making the most of herself.

Lovely reach of neck with shapely forechest. Good turn of stifle. Stands with her front feet turned out slightly. Moved with drive from behind and parallel. Very animated showgirl.
- Meskovskis & Meskovaska’s Emred Devils Jazz. More upstanding brindle & white bitch. Nicely filled and turned head although her head markings detracted. Good mouth. Straight front with cat feet. Lovely reach of neck with shapely forechest. Prefer more hind angulation. Moved better in front than behind.

White with eye patch, very much still a puppy but good make and shape, good profile with enough fill, mouth good, straight front with short back, moved ok coming slightly close going away.

Litter brother to previous class winner, again needs time to mature but shorter in back and more of a showman, decent profile with enough fill, mouth level, good shoulders with straight front moved ok. BP

Smart white dog with ear makings, powerful head fill and turn, good mouth with ears bang on top with small well placed eyes that gives an excellent expression. Straight front, with nice neck into correct shoulders, stocky powerful body with good angulation at the rear. Moved true coming slightly close going away. Overall quality dog. BD BIS

All white dog, good head with fill and turn well placed ears and small eyes, mouth level, straight front with good shoulders, strong body with good rear angulation, moved ok, another quality dog, RBD.

Well marked Red & white dog, filled head but lacks profile, correct mouth with good ear set, good shoulders leading to strong body, slightly long cast, moved ok.

White with brindle ears, feminine head with profile and fill, correct ears and small neat eyes, mouth has a couple of inverted incisors, straight front with elegant neck that flows into short cobby body with good rear angulation, moved ok both, very close decision for BIS, quality bitch. BB RBIS

White with eye patch, elegant body lines but longer than 1, head has decent profile and enough fill with correct mouth, straight front, with decent shoulders, strong body and good bend of stifle, moved ok both.

Thank you very much to the Bull Terrier Club committee, my hard working steward and of course the exhibitors both from Britain and overseas. I was humbled by this excellent quality entry.
My overall view of the dogs today was encouraging, no bad temperaments to report and few mouth faults. Although flat feet appeared quite a lot as did skin problems. Possibly due to high protein diets &/or chalk and cream being used and not removed from the coat. My hands were covered with the stuff!

White with Red brindle head markings attending his first show. As he entered the ring I saw an upstanding stallion of a dog with that wicked expression we are losing in the breed. He carries a strong head, filled and turned and this will develop more as he matures. Perfect large bite, well placed ears, smooth contours from behind the ears right down to the tail, holding a firm top line on the move. A little proud of his tail at the moment but it is set on correct. Well angulated in hind quarters and short firm hocks, he cannot move wrong. Handler was worked hard as this is one very fit and strong dog. A true champion in the making and virtues useful to the breed.BD BIS

I just love this brindle and white boy. Although he needs to mature more I felt he was of a good type. With a super head filled and turned. Large perfect bite, correct expression. Well placed ears. The very best of fronts and shoulders. Short firm body and once his handler had settled down this dog had excellent movement. Strong pasterns and firm hocks.

A favourite of mine with a strong head with fill and turn. Perfect bite, would prefer better ear placement. Strong neck, good forechest, short, firm body, correct in hindquarters. Sometimes Judges have to balance up what they are prepared to forgive for type, as I did with my Best Bitch. With this puppy bitch alas it is her bite. No hiding from it, it is not correct. But Oh how I loved her make and shape. A head to die for, Long strong filled and turned, yet feminine. Ears bang on top. Super reach of neck into perfect shoulders. Only a baby yet but held a super outline. Excellent angulation on the move, moved with reach and drive. Standing on good feet. In excellent coat and condition. I loved her and hope breed judges will overlook her bite, as I did for her true type and qualities. BPB BP

Super sweep to head, large perfect bite, well placed ears and correct expression. Held her top line on the move from good shoulders and correct angulation standing on firm feet. Quality bone I loved her. Given time will trouble the rest. RBB

Her handler was over fussing her today, I would ask him to leave her well alone, for her quality is there for all to see. I shall enjoy watching her throughout the years. BB BOS

Also, thank you for the invitation to judge such a prestigious show, I was amazed at the entry and the quality of the animals I was able to judge.
To the exhibitors, who humbled me with their entries, coupled with their sportsmanship and good grace at my decisions, Thank you so much.
The quality of the dogs meant that some dogs did not make the awards that on another day would surely place. It was difficult to place an animal third, fourth or fifth that I could easily see winning a Challenge Certificate, such was the quality of the exhibits,
I thank each and every one for the privilege of judging your dogs. It was a huge honour for me and one I will never forget. Eddie.

2nd Mr & Mrs Waycott, Waybully Andromeda, 11 month old white, with a strong well turned and wide head, eye and ear placement give lots of expression, a little longer than the first in the back and his loose front affects his movement, his front will tighten with maturity.

Moved with ease, parallel and with drive. Her lines flow and she looks a classy girl. She sometimes holds her tail a little gaily but not enough to detract from her flowing lines. The quality was high with some close call decisions, in some classes there were simply not enough place cards to go around. Power packed egg shaped head filled to the brim, small dark eye giving good expression, correct bite, ears bang on top, gun barrel chest, a tad long cast, plenty of lovely round bone, well-muscled thigh with good back angulation. Strong powerful head, would have liked a bit more turn, correct bite, ears on top, piercing eye, bags of bone, level top line, powerful hindquarters. Feet a little untidy. Good under jaw, prefect bite small dark eye, ear very slightly on the side. Lovely body lines, deep chest, short back strong hindquarters, good second thigh, with enough angulation. Plenty of bone. Moved parallel. I will be watching this girl. PB 2nd ‘Miinroc Envy Me’ 10th (Miss F Mills) Red and white. Another lovely quality bitch, who pushed hard and only lost out to 1st on maturity. Long well filled head with good turn, correct bite, ears on top, which she used all the time, making for good expression, eye a little round, long elegant neck, going into good lay of shoulders, good top line short back, straight front, correct tail set. Egg shaped head, completely filled with enough turn, mouth just off, strong under jaw and good width to muzzle, erect ears that she used all the time. Long elegant neck going into good lay of shoulder, deep chest, good front but turns one foot out very slightly, short back, strong hindquarters with good bend of stifle. Would have liked tighter feet. Moved with drive. Was in harmony with her handler at all times. RBIS 2nd ‘Koellen Penny Black’(Mr K O’Connell) Another quality black brindle and white terrier type bitch with super profile and plenty of fill, I would have liked a bit more under jaw. One tight canine, small dark triangular eye and small erect ears, making for a piecing expression. A tad long in back, level top line, powerful hindquarters, with good bend of stifle. Moved well. Open Bitch Entries 5 Absentees 3 1st ‘Bridens Summer Breeze’ (Mr & Mrs B & D Smalley) Compact cobby white quality bitch with two black eye patches. Strong well filled egg shaped head, plenty of width to muzzle, wicked eye, small ears making for a piecing expression. Strong under jaw, short back with good spring of rib. Level top line. Powerful hindquarters with a good second thigh. Correct tail set. Plenty of bone for size and lovely tight feet. A very well made bitch through out. Moved with ease and drive and showed her socks off the whole time, well handled. BIS 2nd ‘Dark Magic Touch’ (Mr K Ramshaw) Big upstanding black brindle and white. Good length to head with a gentle turn to profile, and enough depth, lacks a little fill under the eye, nice eye and ear placement, correct bite.
